Beyond Our Space and Into Yours: Launching TruForm

Stefan Bean has always had an interest in interior design and corporate space planning, but until our own space needed a face lift, there had never really been an outlet for him to explore his interests and the processes involved. With our renovation on the verge of completion and all of the planning and design that has gone into making our space reflect our brand personality, it dawned on us that this experience might be something we could turn around and make available to our clients. After much thought and consideration, it was apparent that we needed to add interior and environmental design to our service offerings, but to market it as a new division. Therefore, TruForm was created.

TruForm is a new division of Pulse Creative Partners headed up by Pulse President, Stefan Bean, that is solely focused on injecting spaces - both commercial and residential - with the perfect blend of form and function. TruForm believes that every space should be reflective of your personality, brand, style and daily routines. We will be careful to consider every detail of your life as we design the perfect space for you to live, work, entertain and relax in.

More Renovation Updates: Lobby

As you can see, we've been busy. You have probably seen some of the other before and currently in the works photos, but this one actually shows something mostly complete. Below is a photo of what our lobby looked like before the renovation began. Now we have painted some new colors, put down a hardwood floor in the entry and underneath the reception desk. This time next week we should have all of our carpet and will be moving back into a more conventional office set up.

Under Construction Updates

Well, as we have mentioned in our e-newsletter, Vital Signs, we are undergoing a little renovation at our offices. We hope to make the space more conducive to our creativity as well as to our clients comfort. We hope to also usher in a new interior design division in a month or so. We'll give you more information on that later. Here are some of the photos of our current before reno and as things stand now. We'll give you more as things move along.



Here is a photo showing the two new sets of single pane french doors we put in to replace the awkward windows. The doors to the left lead into our new workspace where we will position our desks and will now be able to work in one room giving way to better collaboration. The doors to the right will lead into our new, more formal conference room.



Here is the before image of the space we were using for our meetings. It was more casual and served its purpose, but we feel we need both a formal conference room as well as a meeting space that is more relaxed. This space is part of the space we are converting into our workspace. We will be converting one of our front offices into a library/lounge for kicking back, reading one of our many great design mags, and or meeting with clients.





These two photos show where we have opened up one of the walls and have expanded the space to give us more work space. We'll move in 3 desks that we have converted from the old doors we have had to take out as a result of this renovation. The lighting in this space will be warmer and will allow us to highlight artwork on the walls as well as our desk tops. We will also be in closer proximity to each other than we were before. Currently we are all working in separate offices, which is proving to be a little less productive from a collaboration standpoint than we'd like. Plus, we all get along so well, things should be much more interesting now.

Pulse In The News

On Saturday, Neil Tortorella of Business of Design Online (BoDo) was interviewed by 49sparks.com regarding the launch of BoDo. During the interview Neil was asked about the whats, whys and most importantly, the whos of BoDo which included the mention of myself (Stefan Bean) of Pulse Creative Partners. He then goes on to explain what my role as guest writer will be for this new site and its readers. Take a listen to the podcast. It's long, but the mention is about 10 minutes into the interview.

Another Interesting Tidbit From Our History

Today, after I searched our former name, Bean Graphics, I found this article dated back at least 16 years about a Happy Meal project our firm worked on for McDonald's and Nintendo. Just a little fact from our illustrious history.

Last Post Until 2007

This will be our last post until the new year. We will be moving the site to the new domain name, www.pulsecreativepartners.com, and doing all the site maintenance tasks that go along with that. We will also be taking some time off to spend time with family and friends to celebrate Christmas. We wish everyone the happiest of holidays and look forward to an exciting new year.
