New Year, New Name
On January 1, 2007, after nearly 20 years recognized as Bean Graphics, we will be assuming a new name, Pulse Creative Partners. While the change may seem sudden, it has been the culmination of months of discussions, meetings and brand strategizing that led us to determine that Pulse Creative Partners is the true personality of our brand and how we want to be perceived for the next 20 years.

Good Press Is Our Middle Name
It would seem that recently we have begun to get a fair amount of press within the design community and now even within the business community. Becoming a
HOW Top 10 Site to See, and having a recent project featured in
Communication Arts online exhibit was just the beginning. Two days ago we learned that a local television show wanted to do a feature interview for one of their business segment broadcasts, and today we are being featured on the blog,
DesignersWhoBlog. But, we aren't letting this go to our head, we are truly humbled to have this kind of coverage and the recognition that we are doing great things. After 20 years, you'd think it was time we deserved to see a little more press and we're excited to see where it leads.

The Hits Keep Coming
Yesterday we experienced the single largest day of traffic to our site at 14,954 views. We would like to thank
HOW Magazine for linking to our site in their newsletter. We can honestly say that was the culprit. We would also like to thank all of the viewers that visited yesterday. Keep coming back and tell your friends, we would love to see those stats grow.
Also, don't forget to sign up for our newsletter, Vital Signs, over on the right.

Anyone Want To Be The First To Advertise On Our Site?
Well, I figured, what the heck, just throw it out there. At the beginning of 2007, we will be offering advertising space on our site to anyone with a product or service we would be proud to endorse that is interested in advertising. Now, the details haven't been completely ironed out yet, but we do know that we will be selling space per month and the price will be on a per impression cost. None of this click through crap, just real, honest pricing based on the total number of views our site gets each month. Currently we are averaging 30,000 views per month and growing. We are only going to sell 10 spots per month, which will appear on all pages of our site, and heck, we'd even consider selling year long spots at a discount, which would guarantee your place on our site for 1 year. Each ad will appear by itself on the page until the page refreshes. This gives your ad exclusive access to each individual, because frankly, we don't like to share either. It would seem that most of our viewers are probably designers or are interested in design, so if you generally advertise to designers, we'll sell you a spot, but space is limited to 10 a month, so contact us if you are interested in reserving a spot today, and for pricing info. And, depending on how much response we receive, we may just try to give you space for the Christmas Season.
Email us with the subject line "Please let me advertise", and we will pass info along immediately.

Stefan Bean Interviewed By Local WRTV 6 News
Earlier today, our own Stefan Bean was interviewed regarding a local sex toy business that would soon be opening its doors in Downtown Greenwood. The city council met today in an emergency meeting to try to make an amendment that would keep businesses of this type from opening in the Downtown Greenwood area. In his interview, Stefan discussed why this new business would have a negative impact on the local business owners decisions to continue doing business in Greenwood, should the shop actually open. "When businesses of this sort are allowed to open, they generally attract similarly related businesses," Stefan said, "our clients certainly are not going to feel comfortable coming to a meeting at our office if they have to navigate through a sea of sexually related businesses." Greenwood is in the process of trying to improve their image as a growing and attractive place for small businesses and families to live and work. Businesses of this nature would actually hinder that progress. We'll keep you up to date on any videos of the interview.

Tell A Story,
Win Free Stuff
Well, in honor of the month of October, and that spooky tradition we call Halloween, we want you to tell us your best Halloween story. Whether it involves something funny or embarrassing that happened to you on Halloween or is a real life horror story that you experienced personally, we want to hear about it.
In 500 words or less, send us your Halloween story in an email with a subject line that says "Spooky Stories" by Friday, November 3, 2006 to design@pulsecreativepartners.com. We will select the best three stories, list them on our site and then link to your web site (if applicable). The winners will receive a prize package of Dan Pink's book,
"A Whole New Mind" and 1lb of Starbucks coffee. We'll contact the winners when we have selected the best three stories and mail out your prizes.

We’ve Made The List
This month we have the great pleasure of announcing that our website has been selected by
HOW Magazine as one of their
"Top 10" Sites to See this month. We are overwhelmed and excited to be included as a part of this list, which I am sure we now share with many other great design firms. We will be listed for the whole month of November.

Another Feature In CA’s Online Exhibit
That's right, our work is really starting to get its respect. We just learned today that one of our most recent projects, seen in the photo above and in our
portfolio, the book, Point/Counterpoint, is going to be featured on
Communication Arts website in their online exhibit.
So, we won't actually be featured there until next month, November 20th, to be exact, but once we're up, we'll be there for 6 weeks. We're pretty excited, so is
David Lantz, the author of Point/Counterpoint.
