A Little Food for Thought: Are You Charging Enough?
In many ways, design, and in other cases the service industry in general are being sought after for price before value or quality. While charging more for your service is often difficult to justify because you may be afraid you’ll get evil looks, it will help you determine who your loyal clients really are, and those who look at your service through the lens of value vs. price. Many companies are discovering the value of increasing their prices in order to promote to a different level of client.
This article goes through the many clues you aren’t charging enough and reasons why you want to be sure you aren’t charging too little.

A Little Misnomer
The word “branding has become so ubiquitous that many are using it to describe identity development, which is an incorrect association. Here is a short list of what branding is NOT, and what it really is:
Branding is NOT: Your Logo Mark, Your Tag Line, Your Color Scheme, Your Design Concept
Branding IS:The People in the Company,The Emotional Connections Consumers Have With Your Products, You, The Consistent Experience Consumers Have With Your Company
For more information on branding visit our
Services page, or read Scott Bedbury’s book,
A New Brand World.

And We Have Liftoff!
After changing our host server twice and dealing with all of the nuances of CSS and blogging software, we have finally launched our new web site. As you can see, we have moved away from the over indulgence of flash and have reverted to a more content driven site.

HAM-A-RAMA
Ham in all of it's marketing glory. The sign for "HAM-A-RAMA" was posted at the Village Pantry where we get our caffeine and chocolate fixes on a daily basis. Right next to it was a sign for "Walt's Crawlers". Apparently, live bait is the same price as a ham and cheese sandwich.

The Sky’s the Limit
In a day and age where “nothing is free?, I have been genuinely surprised by the online options for tutorials and tech support available today. The process of putting together the new Bean Graphics site has been a rewarding challenge. If the combination of HTML, CSS, PHP and other acronyms wasn’t a challenge enough, I also worked to integrate our web site with
Wordpress and
Campaign Monitor through our hosting company,
Media Temple.
Sound confusing? At times it was. However, in this day and age, where you can find everything from a spouse to a recipe for the perfect martini via the internet, why should tech support be any different? Forums, blogs and tutorials are making knowledge free and accessible for those who are looking for it. With this infinite source of knowledge available at the touch of your fingers, it seems as if the sky is the limit.

If you like what you see, don't forget that we are available to get a custom e-newsletter up and running for your business. That is one of the many
