Not Lost But Found

There is something about found items (such as grocery lists) that makes people want to share them with others. Found Magazine posts notes, photos, lists, doodles, etc. The only condition is that they have to be found.

Is leaving a note that Bob was run over really the best way to break the news?

TinyURL

TinyURL is a site that generates short URLs so that you don't have to email long cumbersome links (that usually "break" apart). These tiny URLs never break and never expire.

Sharing Your Profile Is Just A Handshake Away

Jasper Pope, a graduate of Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design, recently designed this unique information sharing device, the Dialog, that is like a digital rolodex the size of a business card.

"Dialogue is an asset management system. Part digital rolodex, part personal stock ticker, Dialogue allows the user seamless access to business critical information on the fly by consolidating a library of important contacts, as well as up-to the-second stock quotes, into a package the size of a stack of business cards."

Need to make toast on the go, well, I don't know this will make that process any faster, but it sure sounds fast. A recipient of the Red Dot Design award, this design definitely challenges tradition with its sleek attitude.

Good Press Is Our Middle Name

It would seem that recently we have begun to get a fair amount of press within the design community and now even within the business community. Becoming a HOW Top 10 Site to See, and having a recent project featured in Communication Arts online exhibit was just the beginning. Two days ago we learned that a local television show wanted to do a feature interview for one of their business segment broadcasts, and today we are being featured on the blog, DesignersWhoBlog. But, we aren't letting this go to our head, we are truly humbled to have this kind of coverage and the recognition that we are doing great things. After 20 years, you'd think it was time we deserved to see a little more press and we're excited to see where it leads.

New Mac Ads

The new Mac/PC ads are out, and pretty funny, as usual, but I hear that the ads to come are going to be sans Mac. That's a bad move.

The Hits Keep Coming

Yesterday we experienced the single largest day of traffic to our site at 14,954 views. We would like to thank HOW Magazine for linking to our site in their newsletter. We can honestly say that was the culprit. We would also like to thank all of the viewers that visited yesterday. Keep coming back and tell your friends, we would love to see those stats grow.

Also, don't forget to sign up for our newsletter, Vital Signs, over on the right.
