Lawn Mowing: The Droplet

Someone has finally accepted the challenge to redesign the lawnmower, one of the few household products that hasn't been approached with a more 21st century appeal. Not only has Ash Design looked at this new concept from the perspective of the consumer, but they have really looked at the engineering and user experience associated with using this mower. This is a mower I would want to have in my garage for everyone to see.

Eco Friendly Air Purifier: In More Ways Than One

Blue Air's AirPod personal air purifier "uses approximately 60% less material to manufacture, 50% less packaging and 85% less energy than other air purifiers with comparable performance. It also runs on less than five watts of power where other units require 40 watts. No chemicals are used on the filter or elsewhere and no ozone by-products are released from the unit. In addition, all components and the packaging are 100% recyclable." Via MoCo Loco

Buy A Shirt, Help A Charity

Yellow Bird Project is a Montreal-based, non-profit initiative. We collaborate with musicians in designing a T-shirt, we print and sell them on our website, and all of the money we make goes to charity. Which charity? Each of the artists gets to choose their own.

Anyone Want To Be The First To Advertise On Our Site?

Well, I figured, what the heck, just throw it out there. At the beginning of 2007, we will be offering advertising space on our site to anyone with a product or service we would be proud to endorse that is interested in advertising. Now, the details haven't been completely ironed out yet, but we do know that we will be selling space per month and the price will be on a per impression cost. None of this click through crap, just real, honest pricing based on the total number of views our site gets each month. Currently we are averaging 30,000 views per month and growing. We are only going to sell 10 spots per month, which will appear on all pages of our site, and heck, we'd even consider selling year long spots at a discount, which would guarantee your place on our site for 1 year. Each ad will appear by itself on the page until the page refreshes. This gives your ad exclusive access to each individual, because frankly, we don't like to share either. It would seem that most of our viewers are probably designers or are interested in design, so if you generally advertise to designers, we'll sell you a spot, but space is limited to 10 a month, so contact us if you are interested in reserving a spot today, and for pricing info. And, depending on how much response we receive, we may just try to give you space for the Christmas Season.

Email us with the subject line "Please let me advertise", and we will pass info along immediately.

Truly Original

These letterheads were designed by The Design Conpiracy and as you can see, they are not your typical letterhead. One is for short notes, one for invoices where they kindly ask for money, and two others used for traditional letters. Each has a fun message that lets these letterheads stand out from the ubiquity of the standard logo'd letterheads.

Simple Yet Intelligently Designed

This coffee maker is definitely well designed. They seemed to think of everything including a coffee scoop that snaps into place on the side of the machine.
